Laurie Webster & John Buckman Bring “Demonstrated
Expertise” to Leading Content Industry Consultancy
WESTPORT, CT (February 10, 2009) -- Shore Communications
Inc. (www.shore.com), a leading market research and executive
consulting firm active in the publishing, content technology,
social media and enterprise knowledge arenas, said today that
it has added two new team members to its roster of talent
available for client engagements.
The two are Laurie Webster, a market assessment specialist
and designer of sales and research systems, and John Buckman, a
marketing and communications consultant.

Webster’s expertise includes segmentation analysis, sales
planning tools, applied and qualitative research, statistical
analysis and modeling, survey research, database management and
sales management systems.
She has worked for Silver Platter, Thomson Publishing, Mosby
Consumer Health, News Corp, the University at Albany and
numerous other clients. Webster was educated at Hartwick
College, where she graduated Cum Laude. She also earned a
Master of Business Administration at the University at Albany.
Buckman also has long-standing ties to the information and
publishing industries. He has developed and managed marketing
and communications programs for clients such as Dialog,
Information Access Company, Infotrieve, Gale Group, Ibisworld
and others. He has served on the board of the Software and
Information Industry Association’s Content Division.
As a business writer, Buckman has been widely published,
including in Barron’s, Business Week, Forbes and FORTUNE. For
many years, he wrote a column about technology issues for the
U.K.’s Investor Relations Magazine.
Before launching his consultancy in the late 1980s, Buckman
was director of marketing for PR Newswire and a managing editor
for the American Express Company. He also worked as a
journalist in Washington, D.C., London and Johannesburg, South
Africa. His undergraduate degree is from The George Washington
University with graduate work at The London School of Economics
and Political Science.
