Paying by invoice just got more appealing for your customers. From now on, the Shore POS system automatically adds a QR code via GiroCode to every invoice. Your customers can scan it with their banking app and pay in seconds.

What is GiroCode?

GiroCode is a QR code standard for bank transfers, developed jointly by German and Austrian banks. It packs all the important payment details into a single code that almost any banking app can read.

GiroCode is now active on your Shore POS by default. There's nothing for you to set up or configure.

What changes on your receipt

When a customer chooses to pay by invoice, a new box appears on both the A4 receipt and the slim receipt, showing your bank details and the GiroCode side by side.

The code is generated automatically from the details already stored in your Shore POS, so you won't need to enter anything new.

How your customers pay

For your customers, it's as simple as opening their banking app, scanning the GiroCode, and confirming the transfer. The account holder, IBAN, and amount are filled in automatically.

That cuts down on typos in account details and makes paying by invoice much more convenient for your customers.

You benefit too, with faster incoming payments and fewer questions about mistaken transfers.

Your invoices stay the same

Good to know: the GiroCode simply adds to your receipt without changing anything else on it.

Your thank-you message, a reminder about the next appointment, or payment details all stay exactly as you know them. The new box with your bank details and QR code is simply added on top.

Availability: who can use GiroCode

GiroCode is available to all Shore customers who offer payment by invoice. Customers in Switzerland continue to use their familiar SwissQR solution.
